Austmine Conference Example

OK,I think a good starting point for this post is the clients Google review..

" ... His attention to detail and dedication to capturing the perfect moments were evident in the stunning photos he delivered ... "

We recently hired Andy for photography at our two-day conference, and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. He was exceptionally professional and engaging throughout the entire process. Despite the vast and complex runsheet, he went above and beyond to ensure we had comprehensive coverage of every aspect of our event. His attention to detail and dedication to capturing the perfect moments were evident in the stunning photos he delivered. We highly recommend Andy for any event—his work truly exceeded our expectations!

Why were they so impressed?

It’s a frustrating paradox. The more you do something, the better you become at it, but at the same time the more you think you aren’t good at that something. So it’s nice to get a review like this, makes you think about what you do well. If I was to summarise what I do well it would be:

  • I’ve shot close to 500 conferences, and I know what the client wants, often, even if they don’t know it.
  • I like people watching and observing, with or without a camera. So I tend to see moments as they develop and can grab them.
  • I work hard
  • I have a huge repertoire of go to shots, this let’s me build a surprising large variety of shots for what might be a fairly bland environment.

Perhaps most importantly I process images as I go. As these examples from Austmine’s LinkedIn shows, being able to post timely high quality photos ‘live’ is really really really great for your brands image. (check out the engagement on those posts..)
